HID D2S / Fog Light Wattage?
Hello all,
I got a 2009 g37x coupe, with the headlights that have the fog light inside it. I was thinking of changing the D2S bulb to some Morimoto 5000k and get the H1 5000k Morimoto HID kit.
I was wondering what the wattage the stock bulbs run on? 35W? or 55W?
For D2S bulb I plan on doing direct replacement since the car already has HID kit in it. And I do not know if 55W is too hot and will burn the housing for both D2S/Fog light lamp?
Please let me what wattage you guys go for on your G (35W or 55W)
Thanks!

Its 35w though too your lucky to have the 08-10 G... Infiniti changed the Ballast 11-14 to another that is more touchy with aftermarket bulbs. (Found out the hard way)
I have Phillips 5K Osram Hids and 5k LEDs... pricey suckers too... though my Fogs are 6k the to give that touch of Blue... 5k is like Awesome at night ... its like day time being so crisp and white. No Blue...
Just a Note: Your owners Manual will say what bulbs at what wattage... just IMO stay away from cheap bulbs... they can burn out your igniter ...
Good luck!

How do Morimoto's 5000k compare to the Osram's CBI 5000k? The price difference is $130. Osram CBI's are expensive. Are they worth the extra $$$ ?

I've tried the Morioto's and they fire up just fine though I ended up going Phillips just due to Being closer to OEM fitment... Thought Morimoto's are 55w not 35? I'd double check on that...Don't fry your igniter....

I have 2012 and learned that hard way too(tired of jacking up this 4000lbs baby.) The aftermarket bulbs kept flickering and its so annoying that I had to switch on/off multiple times (10-12 times) before they stay on. My next option is Oscram CBI bulbs; they are expensive but i think it s worth it.

At night we Need Light... Flickering cheap bulbs... just to save a Few Bucks... Not any more for myself...
Though I will say these 5k Osram Euros are Clean Crisp and White... no Blue... Infiniti Should use these on the Norm...
Good luck to you all... if your igniter is burnt I have an extra one New...

In fact, I returned the aftermarket bulbs and went back to OEM until I have enough bucks to get the Osram..
