Door Panel Scrapes / Scuffs
Another surprise this morning. It wasn't from me, and I've had the car for 11 days now but I noticed this morning a few scrapes on the interior black textured door panel and I am pissed because I know it wasn't me. It either came that way or the service department did it 2 days ago when they swapped three off the wheels because they had scratches on them.
This is why I hate it when people I don't know or trust work on my car. Fix one thing and mess up something else from being careless.
You can see in the pics the marks. There's some lightened discoloration and the material is slightly frayed.
Rubbing it anymore won't work.
Any suggestions? Hair dryer or heat gun perhaps?
Thanks.

*Update* I took the jump and used a heat gun on the low setting and slowly worked both areas. The longer scratch was a bit tougher but they both are invisible. I didn't put any pressure on the scratches after heating it. i let it cool after a couple of minutes, scraped whatever excess fraying there was with my finger nail. Did this about 5 or so times. Then I used Ultima Interior Trim Guard Plus and it looks very good. I may hit it again in the future but I am grateful that it got a lot better. Could have been a disaster.
Oh yeah - the heat is what brings back the color to the scratched area that has lightened. I wouldn't worry if the area has a slightly different sheen. It should fade over time. The hair dryer didn't output enough heat to make any changes.
