Trimming / Cutting / Shaving Bumper Brackets

I lowered my car on coilovers and I have it set pretty high for Stance SS's. But Im still rubbing on my bumper brackets. I cut them a bit to the point where the bolt is still functional because Im worried about its strength without it.

How does it hold up if I were just to cut the whole think off and then bend the metal tab? Is there any way to re-enforce it?

Also any pictures of your shave would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!!

I need to trim my liners too but from the others say it is okay to shave off completely. As long as it is not fiberglass aftermarket bumpers, it seems to hold in place real good.

It'd be cool if there was a DIY. I understand its pretty self explanatory but seeing pictures and steps would give me a bunch more confidence in such a permanent mod
