Cool Heated Seat Controller *****

OK, so I am looking to retrofit the **** style heated seat controller in place of the stock rocker switch type. First off can this be done or is there something with the actual stock module that only can use the 2 position switch type? The **** style appears to have multiple positions for different heat settings. Also, they have different plug styles as well.

If it can be done where can I find the corresponding connectors to make a pigtail as to not have to cut any wires.

Look forward to hearing your responses and advice.

Thanks,
DW

Subscribed! If it turns out you CAN do this, I'll be following in your footsteps! And yes the ***** have like 6 or 7 different settings. Wonder if that works with the control unit or not?

I have the rocker switches in my G but the dials in my M. The M only has three positions but it's 3 for heat and 3 for cool. Frankly the first position for either one doesn't do much at all so I consider it basically low & high. The dials (again on the M) have little LEDS to indicate when they are on but you can't see them in the daylight. Frankly I like the rocker switches myself and would not mess with the mod. Bigger things to tackle.

It's not an easy retrofit. Along with the new **** style control, the seats have a seat heater control module added to the bottom of the seat. You would have to add this module too. It's going to be a mess running the wires.

The devil is in the details, but I don't think this is worth the trouble, frankly.

Thanks for all the replies. I had a feeling it would be more involved then just exchanging the switches.

Thanks again...
