Those with Street Scene Splitter
SS had the splitter on Amazon for $140/w shipping, so I pulled the trigger. As most of you know, it comes unprepped and unpainted. They advise to get it painted by a professional, but I'm cool with the natural flat black it is. I put it up to the fascia, and it looked fine. That said, I've heard polyurethane will fade over the years, so.....
Is there anyone here with the splitter still unpainted? How is the finish holding up? Is there anything that can be applied to it for protection, other than paint?

I saw a post on the Camaro forum, where a few have coated the splitter with bedliner. I might shoot the bottom with it and see how it holds up for a month. Pretty slick if it works

They are supposed to fit. However, when I went to install it over the weekend, the damn thing was like 1in short, length wise. The edges are supposed to cuff the bottom corner of the fascia, but did not. Its possible that was the reason it was soo cheap on Amazon, they normally run about $230. I figured since it was sold by SS, it would be OK, but you would probably be safer to pay the retail price for one. That said, I'm just going to return it and buy from Stillen.
