Plasti dipped a GT-R?

Lol, cheap is right. Whoever did that to a $110K car should have their a$$ removed.

Someone wants to do that to their Honda, go right ahead. I don't care and I don't think anybody else cares. But do that to a $100k car? That's just plain fukking retarded.

true you could afford it

Have you ever taken your car to a track.. not a drag strip but a real track. Get behind something with sticky wide tires like a porche or vette and then look at your paint after. want to talk about rock chips. i know guys that make clear car bras with this stuff to try and stop it.. then they peel it when they leave.. tada perfect paint.

also wanted to note the gtr has scratch sheild and so does my g37 but i can still see swirls in my paint and have rock chips.... what gives with that.

Ok but that GTR has zero protection from rock chips as whole nose is exposed.. Lol

Scratch shield clear isn't going to PREVENt rock chips... It will simply dissolve minor light scratches over time, and it is a pain in the *** to deal with when it comes to refinishing a vehicle that comes standard with it.. That's why g37s had a short minor tenure with scratch shield.

Also, no doubt dip can and help prevent rock chips, but when done for aesthetics it looks like poop..

And you shouldn't be worried about a rock chip if you are tracking your car :/

It looks like it turned out very well for plastidip. It'd be a pain to peel off though.

Yeah lots of hate on Plastidip. I think if it's done right then there's nothing wrong with it. It's all personal choice at the end of the day.

Haters gonna hate. Dippers gonna dip.
Plastidip is awesome. But I've done small pieces and quite happy with it. Wheels, no, whole car no.
