Most importantly, this stuff is much more visible, particularly at an angle due to its depth, which IMO makes the biggest difference as the front grille will likely never be viewed from dead-on eye level, and even so, this mesh looks much better

Hoping to try the test fit soon but schedule has been very busy (OP was nearly a year and a half ago!)

Much better. The thin mesh provided is a bit weak.
Did you get the big infiniti emblem?

New mesh installed, see earlier photos for comparison

Little tough to notice difference in the photos (obviously light source is different as well), but in person it's a significant improvement. No longer looks like an aftermarket part, but rather an OEM option (well, the Fuji emblem is a requisite as well but you get the idea)

Pretty happy this is FINALLY materializing and is coming out pretty much as expected, BUT I know I'll have a few hurdles during the install as well, we'll see how it goes...

Thanks Alfredo!

Won't order the emblem until I do the install, but strongly considering the QX56 rear hatch emblem.

Only reason why I might not is the emblem is flat but the mesh is rounded, so I worry that the bigger the emblem, the poorer the fitment (if that makes sense).

This project has been going in very sequential steps in case I fudged it up along the way lol, but getting pretty close to the end

It's going to look great in the end.
More so if you have a CAI to show off

^lol baby steps, but agreed, much potential of this grille is wasted without the CAI tubes/filters showing thru, looks great on yours

Here's how it looks with the OEM front emblem, to me this size looks good, the catch is due to how the emblem mounts into the OEM grille, it wouldn't look good installed on the mesh (oh well), so need to get one that will fit flush (likely a G or QX56 rear emblem, still deciding)

But look how big of a difference the mesh & emblem make!

Might give the install a shot later if I have time

Sooooo made some fitment adjustments and got it installed!

Ran out of sunlight so took photos in the garage down the block

The mesh made a very significant difference, IMO it has the OEM aesthetic that I've been after, now just need to figure out the best option for the Fuji logo to go into the center

Wow, this is perfect, I want this exact grill. So there is nowhere that makes a grill with that mesh you used already installed? I really want a grill exactly like the one you made is it really a DIY grill?

Few photos in daylight (one with old mesh for reference) ... looks even better during the day IMO

Key thing (to me) is that the mesh in the upper grille is a very close match to the lower grille

Alfredo: here's the emblem I'm going with (part number 62890-1BA1A), little larger than OEM size but nothing drastic

Thanks. Yes you'll have to buy the C-MOD grille, have it painted, and then buy the separate mesh, cut it to fit and install it in the grille (both are petty easy). Not entirely DIY but some customization is required

You can but the one from warpeacelove to save a few bucks, or you can buy here: Infiniti G37 2010-2013 Sedan Mesh Grille - C-mod Grilles

Either way you'll still need to replace the mesh if you want the same look as above. Good luck!

Like I said in the chat thread, this looks much better w/ the new mesh, it really hides that vertical emblem mount (or at least from your pics it does).
Would really complete the look w/ a nice CAI behind the grill.
At any rate, it looks mean, stealthy and badas$
Great job IMO
