DJ Hellfire:

You're running HID, not HIR, in the fog light spot? What about the extra pieces required to run HID?

I went with Diode Dynamics HID conversion kits for my fogs and they are 9006 bulbs as well. I have a 2009 x non-s, but the fogs are in the headlight housing. Install was easy and it was just the fact of putting the small ballast somewhere. I also swapped the stock HID headlights to 6000k bulbs to match color.

Thanks! My wife took the G to work today, so I don't have access to the manual.

Okay, thanks. I would have to assume that adding the HID bulbs to the fog banks must add some serious illumination, yes?

A large amount actually, but they do aim lower so it doesn't seem to annoy other drivers.

I forget. Do the fogs stay "on" when the brights are activated? Or does that cancel them out, like most factory cars?

They do not stay on when you turn on your brights.

Is there a stocket to put a bulb for the fogs or do I need to buy a 9006 hid kit and wire it myself
