I recently leased a brand new 2013 g37 and went I peeled the sticker off, the light does not illuminate when I open the door. Can anyone help me out?

 

Check the switches by the sunroof. Select the center, left is on right it off center is when u open door.

 

Are you referring to the door sills? If they don't illuminate, you don't have illuminated door sills. They are a dealer option, not standard.

 

I was going to say the same thing BB said...plus...if you leased a new vehicle, why are YOU having to remove anything like that? That is the dealers job.

 

Yes the door sills. The dealer said it illuminates. The same exact model I was shown, was the same exact one I leased.

 

if its supposed to work but doesn't and you just bought it...take it to the dealer

 

They don't all have them, my G doesn't. Many do not. Just because it is the same model doesn't mean it has the same options. The non illuminated ones have a smaller "Infiniti" than the non illuminated ones.

 

If you are referring to the illuminated kick plates that is an additional option

Doesn't new car come with a window sticker? Just read it, you did not have illuminated kick plates if not listed.

 

It is not kick plates. It's the door sills.

As I said, those are not illuminated door sills. They're regular ones. Illuminated sills are a dealer accessory. If you paid extra for them, have them install them. If you didn't, then the ones you have are the ones you're supposed to have - standard ones.

 

Yea I know those are not illuminated. It was just an example of how mine look. I contacted my dealer earlier today so he said to send him pictures tomorrow. He said that should of been included in my package. I'll see what happens.

 

Maybe he's throwing them in, but they aren't a part of any option package. That's stuff that comes in the car from the factory. These are installed at the port or the dealership after the car arrives.

They are nice though, I like them.

 

Kick plate / door sills = same place. You got the standard ones that don't light up.
