Need to paint Grille and Wheels

Hey guys,
I have a black G37 and I had the grille plastidipped but i'm noticing more and more chips on the grille and I'm wondering if I should paint the grille instead, or get it powder coated rather than applying another layer of plastidip.

Also I have the stock sport rims that came with the car and I want to paint or powder coat them black. Any recommendations on which is better for painting the wheels?

Probably on the Grille, I would paint, but you could ask the powdercoater if you can bake the powder on a plastic grille. I would be concerned the plastic part won't hold up in the oven. Regarding the wheels, I would go powder.

Plastic baking in an oven? Why would that even need to be questioned...

No, it won't work. Paint the grille, powder coat the wheels.

I used to powder coat... our grill would melt down on the hangers in the oven. Plus too its not metalic for the powder to stick to it once its charged...
Metal only...
Wheels yes... soda blasted and pick a color...
if your wanting 2 tone then have them Green tape off the area you dont want powdered and there you go... we used a green transparent tape for areas not to be charged its tape made for heat and yet the powder wont stick...

Paint grill and the wheels, you might get discount. Or get the wheels PC.

the only problem with painting the grill, is that it will chip off and be even more noticable. especially if you commute a lot and are prone to rock chips.

Paint? Guys I know who painted always get chips as well. I would rather stick with plasti-dip and maybe just add a few more coats for thicker layers.
