Ballast Location

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew where the ballasts were located in the 2012 Infiniti G37 Coupe. I have replaced the headlight bulbs before, and I can obviously see the wire for the igniter insider the headlight assembly, but I cannot see the ballast. Is the ballast inside the headlight assembly, or under it? Is it fairly easy to access it (more specifically, is the input plug for the ballast easily accessible)? Thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure the ballast is located under the headlight, attached to the actual headlight assembly. I think you will have to pull the bumper and remove the headlights to access them.

So as far as you know, it cannot be reached by removing some of the wheel well liner? I know that there were people talking about the location of the ballasts for the 2006 G35 being located under the headlight assembly, and being accessible once the wheel well liner is removed. I was hoping that was the case with the G37 as well.

I don't think so but don't quote me on that. The only way I would feel comfortable getting to it would be by removing the bumper. I have a 08 sedan but believe the ballast location on all 2nd gens should be the same.

You need to take the bumper off or search DIY section for removing headlights or front bumper by 180custom. Then remove the headlight to access the ballast. GL

Theretrofitsource is great place to buy a oem replacement D2S: MATSU. GEN V ballasts at 170 for the pair. Can't beat that.

Highly recommend doing both sides. Keep the good one as spare, the ballasts go out faster then the bulbs do... at least in my experience.

Thank You for the recommendations. I am struggling a bit with the correct Ballast. I have noticed the P/N is different on different websites. The dealership gave me this infiniti part number: "24874-8992A". I am trying to cross reference this to OEM Matsu****a part.
Any help/guidance would be most appreciated.
