Tiny interior light???

I know this is a newbie question but I just got the G37 and can't figure out what the tiny light is (possibly a map light but really small. The light is near the passenger light. I can see the light in the manual but it does not explain what it is. It is always on when the car is on.

Thanks.

You did get a serious answer.

Infiniti terms it mood lighting. All newer nissan's have them...or I should say most.

Try and take a deep breath and relax a little. Have a little fun on here.

Is there a way to turn it on and off? For when my mood goes from bad to good or vice versa.

Suppose you could take apart the overhead compartment, and remove the bulb if there is one.

It is a map light. It is on whenever the lights are on.

This light really makes a difference during the night. (Obviously) lol
But if you cover the light with your finger, you will notice that the light actually makes a nice shining atmosphere as mentioned by LexiG37.
It's a nice little luxury feature. IMO.

I second that its a map light. Taking apart that unit can be a pain in the butt. I had to do it to paint the whole unit. Ifvyou dont like the light put a small tape over it.

Talking

In order to disable it you need to go to the Settings on your screen, then go to:

Comfort & Conv

Auto Interior Illumination.

I spend a lot of time playing with buttons.
