Intelligent key operation

I wanted to set my car so I could lock and unlock the doors without fishing the key out of my pocket. I went into vehicle information and settings and determined that this feature was not turned "on" so I turned it on. Now the doors lock or unlock by pushing the soft touch pad on the passenger door, but not the driver's door. I suspect I may have a bad switch in the driver's side door handle. Are there other possible explanations?

Could very well be a bad switch. I've had a few of them go bad. From what I'm understanding, if the seals aren't perfect for those little pads, water can get in there and short them out.

Take it into the dealer and have them check it out.

Closest Infiniti dealer is in Greenville, SC 75 miles away. It looks like I have to replace the entire door handle. Do you know if these come already painted?
