I generally keep the headlights switch on auto in my used '09 G37x sedan. There is a green dash indicator that resembles the tail lights/park lights icon (two lamps facing away from each other) that is usually illuminated.

The '09 manual has no information about this indicator. The '10 manual calls it the "small lights" indicator. I'm wondering if others with '09 G's have the indicator or if this could be evidence of a replaced instrument panel.

Also, in auto mode, are the tail/park lights also controlled automatically or are they always on while the car is running?

Parking and tails are not always on-in auto they are..well,automatic
