Bad paint job now refusing to repaint Help*
I have a problem with my CAR (2012 g37 coupe) and maybe someone here can help me. I'm having body work done to my car at The Service King and they had to paint 2 body parts due to a collision. The issue I'm having is that the 2 parts they painted don't match the rest of the paint on my car, but in there eyes it does. Now there refusing to repaint it again "this would be there 4th try" unless i can get another professional eye that says they can do it better or proof via other means.
So who is the best auto painter in Dallas for pearl whites Infiniti?
or
Who knows a company which measures auto paint via a spectrometer?
or
Whats the best way to measure color accuracy/radiance/Luminance of automotive paint?
Anything will help me, are there any test? They use PPG paint and Enlgish Color
Heres my car w/ damage

Job like that the front bumper, fender, should have been painted complete, and the hood, and drivers door and maybe even passenger fender should have been blended into As well... Did you go through insurance?. If so I'd complain..

If you blend out properly the paint will match.. It's very difficult to get it spot on painting only the bumper. You have to do multiple spray outs, and tinting which takes time that honestly most painters are too lazy to do. Blending into all adjacent panels is the easiest way for a perfect match

I have a team mate with the same color that had the same exact issue. After 3 or 4 tries with it coming out the same each time, he determined that was as good as it was going to get with Ivory Pearl and learned to live with it.

I am going through insurance so we will be in contact with them tomorrow. They have blended and you can tell between the hood and the fender, and the L/F fender and the door and upper panel above the window. There spewing some stuff about having their paint rep from PPG come out and give the OK before calling us as well as there Paint specialist.

I've always wondered why. Even my old car was a 3 stage pearl type of paint. And from factory I could tell the difference.
"Plastic bumpers will always change color especially in metallic colors. The plastic has a static charge and the metallic paint will settle different than on the sheet metal parts, causing pigment floatation that will shift the color darker or lighter. The other reason is surface temperature, if the sheet metal is colder, the bumper will look lighter, if the sheet metal is hotter than the bumper, the color on the bumper will look darker. The third reason is flex additive. If the clearcoat is applied on the bumper with a flex additive, it will shift the color slightly"

With this damage front bumper should be replaced and painted, fender probably could be fixed but for 2012 I would get a new one and repaint. I do professional painting for 2 and half years, and I can tell you right away if the job is good or not, but I'm not in your state. They also should have painted Fender and the bumper at the same time, to at-least blend the color....
To be honest with you, to get the right color to match every part of the car surrounding it is hard. However if insurance covering it, make them blend the color with the door and the hood and make sure it is smooth after they done, check check and check every time after body shop..show them everything you think is not right cos they will try to get away with a cheap job...I've been through this.

Supposedly they have blended it with the door the 2nd time. The third time they sanded off the clear coat and applied a 2k and re-blended the whole door. I don't even know if that 1k/2k/3k clear coats even exist. Anyone want to shed some light on that?

It's been done many times before, they are spewing bs.
Whoever is painting it sounds like he doesn't know what he is doing.
I'm willing to bet they painted the whole fender and did not blend into the a pillar at all.. And are just hoping it matches.
Please post pics when you can and I will help tell you what's wrong
