Yeah thats exactly what I did and then sealed the edging with epoxy. I will get some more details to you guys once I get back into town though. I'm a little out of pocket.

I love LED's but this one looks so...goofy. I mean if you made the strip straight instead of a silly curve then it would look alot better. Like this:

^I could only justify that look if you cut and mounted them into that piece they sit on to make it flush. Sitting ontop looks too choppy for me and pepboys to me. I prefer it to be incorporated into the car not bolted on.

Alright guys i'm back in town finally. I know quite a few of you are aching for a DIY. I have one quick question for those of you that have done them.... Do you usually go back after the fact and take additional pictures?

In all honesty, when working on this project I was never thinking this many people would want me to describe how I did it. I took periodic photos of some of the process, but I'm sure it won't be good enough for those of you that need a step-by-step instructional.

Step 1: Take off the bumper
Step 2: Uninstall the Aero Inserts entirely, including the plastic pieces
(keep all screws and pieces together. These will be utilized later to secure the metal grating and secure the lights)
Step 3: Measure the distance you would like to have between the LED's
Step 4: Drill each hold very carefully. Start small and increase to the diameter that fits the lights you purchased.
Step 5: Use dremel tool to smooth out the edges of each light hole
Step 6: Leave chrome OR paint the edging (I went with a 3 black coats with 4 clear coats to follow

( I kind of wish i had left small amounts of the chrome outlining the LED lights to add to the reflectiveness. This would make the lights much brighter during the day. Then again I wouldn't have the sleekness of the All black when the car is off.)

Step 7: Place the LED lights from behind and Epoxy the edges to the keep the lights in place.

Step 8: Place the wire backing behind the lights and use the screw holes from the previous pieces to secure the LEDs in place.

Heres a few more pictures of the Aero pieces throughout the stages of paint and placing the wire backing.
