The tint is ont the chrome trim only not the lens. Output is not effected.

Yes, it is not in the lens that could block light, but it could reduce reflected light.

It's funny because I have a 2011 G37S sedan and have not noticed a difference in the housings between non-sport... and I paint these housings all the time lol. If there is even any difference, it's so slight that nobody notices.

Correct

Our low/high beam is a projector, where all the light comes out of the projector lens. There is no reflection needed. In fact, you don't want any reflection on the housings, that would just be random light pointed different directions.

In summary, dark inner housings do not effect G37 headlights in any way!

It is not really a darkness tint but more of a bluish sheen you notice in certain light conditions, it appears as what I call the rainbow effect, kind of like how a good diamond looks in the light with the brilliance is the closest I can explain it. The regular lights will just appear clear and don't have this sort of brilliance to them.

It would have been nicer if they did something like on the new TL's and blacked out the inner housing.

I think he is referring to applying more tint directly to the headlight itself. If that is the question, then yes, it will absolutely affect the output.
