Black or chrome on window trim??

Im on the fence, cant decide to leave it chrome or wrap it in black vinyl. I did one side with electrical tape to get an idea, but still undicided. Opinions???? Future mods will be a front lip and spoiler.

I think, considering your nice wheels, that both suite the car. Honestly I still like the chrome a little more. If your blacking out the grille and trunk lip then it might make more sense to black out the door trim.
Car looks nice though1

I say leave it chrome. My wheels are dark with a polished lip and the chrome trim complements the wheels very nicely.

Just leave the chrome alone, black trims give the car a cheap plastic look, particularly on a while car.

black. and do the same with the center of your grill also to mimic the midnight black grill. the plastic fake chrome looks cheap, IMO. but as you can see, some will disagree. do what you like and not worry about what others think.

It looks good with either. I say you go black. You can always return it back to chrome if you get sick of it. You could also do one side black and keep the other chrome so you have the best of both worlds.

While I'm partial to black trim on darker colors, and chrome trim on a pearl-white (and silver) car, I think your car looks great either way. And your tinted windows help make the black trim work.

I also own a Moonlight White G, so I've given this a lot of consideration. What I would say is be careful, because going Oreo is a slippery slope into an obvious, awkward look. What's tasteful now may be only one more "make this black" mod away from tacky.

what he said. just don't go overboard and start making half your hood black or doing the roof and trunk black also for that black down the center look.

I like the black. I think it looks clean. Chrome always draws your eye to wherever it's applied, and I think the black lets your eyes focus on the other parts of your awesome car!

Thanks for the help, Im still not sure. Like Surfwagon said, I can always turn it back if I wrap it, so I think Im going that direction.

Rochester and Sniper27 I totally agree. Not a big fan of the Oreo or Stormtrooper look. To many go overboard with it. Ive already did the midnight grill so Im not sure about painting the headlights, If I do Im going to leave some chrome accents.

Thanks Blnewt I already had it saved so I can do it myself. As for the brakes, they are fake brake covers, I painted my calipers flat black and got the caliper covers off Ebay for $20. I know I mite get hazed for this but I cant see paying thousands for a BBK if Im not going to track the car and 99% of the people cant tell they're fake unless I tell them.

Again Thanks for the compliments on my work in progress....

The chrome flows better with your rims and makes the car look classy, with different rims would probaby say black it out.

I'm sure if we saw them in a close-up pic we'd know. But since you bought it up...

...not really liking the red, and even more so knowing they're fake. However, I don't immediately dismiss covers for the very reason you just said: thousands of dollars for a BBK that isn't necessarily worth it on a daily driver. (I might regret saying that, because I love my Akebono BBK's.)

So what I would say is spend another $20 on ebay and get a set of covers that gives your calipers a clean look, without calling attention to their fake-ness. In other words, silver or black. Better yet, just paint the ones you have silver.

Also, I thought MGP was the only manufacturer of decent looking caliper covers, and those are a couple hundred dollars for a set. $20 is a steal.
