Passanger Side Rear Quarter Panel, Paint Cost?
Hello everyone,
As I was backing out of my garage, I didn't realize there was a vehicle behind me that I tapped. Well to no avail, it knocked out part of my tail light and dented my rear quarter panel near my gas tank. I have attached a picture.
I took it for an estimate today to a body shop near me and the estimate was at $1900. Is it me or is that too much? The dent needs to be popped out and the whole quarter panel will need to be repainted. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also, this is a lease.
I have a 1,000 deductible on my insurance and was planning to just pay out of pocket.
I am also wondering if I could just use a PDR service and buff out the scratches. I have an extra tail light.

$1900 is not out of range for a dent like that. Is the car Ivory pearl or moonlight white, and paintless dent removal may have a tough time with that due to the area damaged. The shops est. probably includes to blend (trunk and bmpr) and is for sure going to r&i the rear bumper. Due to the fact that you have a rear lamp that should save you a small amount of money there. Did the bs est, include the tail lamp? Upload a new pic of a different angle also that would help see it better!

1900 For a reputable repair shop who puts out quality work....although it is a little on the high end.... well worth it. the insurance company would estimate repairs around that price. But for the sake of argument , and with today's economy the way it is, you should have no problem beating them down on the price paying out of pocket. Give that a try. NEVER pay retail for out of pocket auto repair costs. That side of the business is always negotiable
