Broken passenger 2012 G37X fog lamp where to purchase / how to replace
#16
Here is a little write up I did for replacing my 2012 Infinity G37X fog light out because it was cracked.
Deal price to replace = $350-400
Dealer Price for light= $150
After market light price= $55
Amazon Link Time to install= 20 minutes
Parts needed:
Ramps
10mm socket or Large Philips screw driver for plastic covers
7mm socket for light removal
Small flat screw driver for light assembly removal
1. Park your car on the ramps
2. Depending on the side you are replacing the fog light “in my case passenger”. On the middle plastics remove the 3 bolts. Sorry forgot to take the actual pics.
3. Now remove the 5 bolts from the side plastics and a plastic clip as well. This will not remove the plastics it will just give you the space needed to get to the fog light.
4. Carefully bend the side plastics back and you will now see the fog light. Grab the small 7mm socket and reach up to the top of the fog light and remove the silver screw and also remove the light wiring.
5. Now you will need to gently pry back the red clip while applying pressure to the chrome bracket on the outside and it should pop right out
6. The light should now come right out
7. Now, reverse the process to install and you may need to adjust the light.
