3K HIDs Installed for Fog Lights

I've always been into fixing up cars but recently have stopped after getting the A4 and then trading it in for a G37S about a year ago. My first obsession was an RSX fully modded and then the IS350. Only thing I've done for my G37S is interior LED lights / license plates. After getting married, I've stayed away from modding the G37S and said to myself to keep everything stock. I may have plans for it soon but for now, I switched out the stock fog lights bulbs for 3K HIDs. Was debating to go with LEDs also, but I've always loved the 3K HIDs on my previous IS350. Here are pictures of it installed.

I was lucky to go to my friend's shop to install these and he has a lift.. makes it that much easier to install and a lot faster IMO.. I thought it would be more difficult but just a few bolts to remove from the bottom panel and you're looking at 10 mins max on each side...

What HID kit did you buy? I'm thinking about doing this to my car too and need to find an installer. What part of So Cal are you from?

do you have any down the road pics from the inside? curious if the yellow from the HID overpowers the headlights. from your pics, the ground looks extremely yellow.

Thanks for the pics. Looks exactly like my lights if I were to take a pic of them. In person they are even more brilliant and bright. I like how they look whitish like the headlights so as not to distract other drivers in their rear view mirrors or head on at night. Why didnt Infiniti make these standard? At least on the LE models. Theres another thread about HID fogs titled: "Finally got the fog lights change to HID". This thread should be linked to that one. I love this site, and I love my car.

Nice previous cars. My boy has a 350, and those cars arent any lightweight to challenge.

Your HIDs, are they upgraded as well?

+1 on this!

I want to upgrade my fogs to HID but don't know if the yellow will overpower the whitish headlight beam...

I'll take more pics tonight hopefully. From the ground, the 3K HID looks like it's overpowering the low beam HIDs but they are definitely not. From inside the car at a view where your opposition lies as well will see that they balance quite well.

Got my HIDs from DDM Tuning but it took a week to get here because it ships from China. Lifetime warranty though.

Those look great!

I'm surprised at how yellow they turned out. I bought a 3000K kit from DDM tuning for my maxima and they were a horrible lime green color.

Did you upgrade your headlight bulbs as well?

2SwiFt29,
can you tell us where you bought your 3k HID kit and for how much?
The photos look very good.
please take some other photos with natural white balance and share with us here.

by the way, what fog light mod write-up did you use?
Thanks!

Much appreciated! I kinda like the strong yellow light your fogs put out, nice contrast.
