3K HIDs Installed for Fog Lights
#16
Thank you sniper27.
I did not upgrade the driving light HIDs at all. They do look a lot brighter in those pictures.
I haven't gotten a chance to take a picture of it on the road with my actual camera. BTW, those pictures were taken with my iphone.

It does look like the fogs are overpowering the low beams, although they can be adjusted as well. I like the contrast between that strong yellow and the white-ish 4300K low beams. Have you considered upgrading your low beams and/or projector lenses?
As you said, pictures are probably not doing justice to your setup. Thanks again for sharing!

I am doing the same setup, but still waiting for my hid's to come into stock. I always ran 4300k low beams and 3000k fogs. The fogs will look like there overpowering but they are beamed differently. Different application basically low beams is for the low beam and fogs are for fog lights. I always love the contrast and the look of it. It works great in fog too since yellow brings the fog out better then any higher lumins

Exactly, the fogs are for the fogs and low beams for the low beams...LOL. JK.
Yellow light for fog lights is a tradition that has been debunked, it's actually worse than white light, as you put it "it brings out the fog better" when fogs lights are meant to cut through them.
Higher lumen lighting helps, as long as the light bulbs output a color that will not reflect and/or refract light everywhere. Yellow fog lights are for looks, just like 10,000K HIDs are for looks and aren't practical.
3000K fogs DO look nice though!

Once again the 3K HIDs do not overpower the low beam HIDs. They are a perfect contrast to it and I too agree they are for looks. To be honest, even the stock fog lights are for looks as well. My 3K HIDs seem a bit brighter but not by much.
