Question regarding "S" seats and physical stature
#16
Closing the loop, I got an "S" convertible withOUT the "S" seats. Turns out the reason you see this combination (per the manager) is that you can't get the sport seats AND cooled seats both. You can either have the bladder (using an air pump) or cooled seats (using an air pump), not both. Mine has cooled as well as heated seats.
I just finished driving 13 hours from the dealer towards my home. Still feel fresh other than eyes getting tired, no issues at all with comfort. In fact, it's more comfortable than my Camry by a lot.

A bunch of people have issues with the tight thigh bolsters. Check out this THREAD. It will let you know that there IS something that you can do about it.
I was uncomfortable for a while, while I was 5'10" 240. Lost weight and that helped out a bit. LOL

It seems like people have been loving the sport option, but the seats have been an issue ever since they have offered it. Usually I like firm seats, but these were tough to take. I still would have preferred an S and swapped out the seats, but the G37x didn't come with the S package until 2011, and it was 10 grand more than I wanted to spend. Really snowy days I'll be glad I didn't get it, but I agree, the sport package is not only great equipment, but its a great bargain for what you get. They need to start putting the Aero/IPL front bumper on the sports too, and put the sport bumper on the Journey and x.
Oh, and I'm part of the big boy club too, 5'10", 200lbs. This is the first time I've felt on the small side though. Maybe we need to add a recipe section?

Put my sport seats back in this weekend, I do like the look and the thigh extension for sure. I can already feel the right side bolster jabbing my side though even with them deflated. Same with the left side of the seat bottom, feels like a have my wallet in my pocket. I also have to hear my wife complain, she likes the Journey seats and can't understand why I switched them back.......sigh. I still might take that metal bracket out when I get some free time.

6'4" 230. I really like the sport seats. I have a 34" inseem and the thigh extension makes a big difference to me. Plus I like the ability to have the seat grab me on the sides. As far as long time road comfort, I can't really comment at this time.
