Use a small flat head screw driver. Just be carefull. Some put tape on the screwdriver to prevent scratches. There's a small notch on the underside of the aluminum handle and just pop off the cover and run the screwdriver along the seam. It's really easy to do. Just take your time and don't scratch things up.

Awesome this is good info... one quick question... the previous owner scratched the panels up along with the shift ****... i love the look is there a way to get the aluminum out of the shift **** on the 08 as well? I need to get her back up to "pristine" condition before i go crazy with the silly little scratches...
... and where do i find one of those water bottles?
