Newer coupes come with a factory black headlight housing?

I've been seeing quite a few "new member" threads with pictures of stock cars with what looks like a black headlight housing :O can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, they're not black, but a black chrome. The turn signal area, running light and projector shroud are still chrome. I'd love to be able to order 2011/2012 shrouds, but they only come as complete assemblies. I may just paint mine in black chrome eventually. I think it's an awesome touch that probably most people don't even notice.

Yes they do but you still should get ironman headlights. Got mine done today.

Everyone should do it.

Lol I always pay attention to fine detail on all the Gs I see. Anyone know if the 11 are swappable with the 08 without other modifications?

Dash - that looks awesome! Price is outta my reach ATM.

Two three- you were right, it is 11+

The 11 should swap fine. Not entirely sure on the harnesses, but I would think it would be fine. The 10+ do not have AFS however. Would be an extremely expensive swap. I had new headlights put into my G like a month ago and they were over $1500 each. You'd be wayyy better off paying someone to just paint them for you, and you'd still have the AFS feature.

I don't currently have AFS headlights and I was thinking more along the lines if someone who didn't like the black wanted to swap headlights :P

Fogs aren't integrated in the housings for model years 11 and up I think. There was another thread on this somewhere.

I just got 2012 a week ago and I did noticed that, I was wondering why its a bit darker than the previous models, but I still want DashKids' the iron man headlight.

Well I think they made the 2012 darker because I'm sure Infiniti saw how popular. BTW had to drive 2 hours to get those headlights but gas was well worth it.
