Regarding DD map light LED sticky tape.
so, i was having a bit of trouble with my map led's falling down all the time. i came up with a probably not so original solution.
1. remove that horrible, sucky a$$tape that comes with them from Diode Dynamics. try not to touch the board.
2. wipe the car surface you're applying the new tape to with alcohol NOT THE BOARD.
3. buy the 2 sided badge tape by 3M at any autoparts store $3.99 a roll.
4. put it on the board and reinstall them.
the bond is so good with that tape, i couldn't even remove it 2 minutes after i placed it back up. those suckers aren't ever coming off.
just figured i'd share cause there were a few people having problems with them a while back

This is a great way to improve the tape, but if you install them in the following manner, you won't have any problems! Just hold the board very firmly in place for 10-15 seconds, so they sticky pad can fully adhere. We install all lights here like that, and never have any problems with them falling. Thanks!

just did what i posted in this thread and they have not fallen down since. idk if it was because when i originally installed them it was cold out so the tape didn't stick then just got worn out from reinstalling them all the time or what.
but this seemed to work, and i can't even pry them off now.

or just use a regular 164/198 socket LED. my 5 LED, 5K ones are plenty bright, nice and white and fit snug.
