Question Rear Window cleaning behind center brake light

Basically, how do you do it?

I've got streaks on the glass that I want to clean, but it's behind the center brake light. How do you guys access this area when you clean the rear window?

^ +1. no idea, at least without dismantling the light area.

Wondered about that also. How do you change the light bulb? The thing has to come apart.

i woud imagine you have to take it out in order to clean the glass underneath it.

same thing for changing the lightbulb.

You can fit a microfiber cloth between the glass and brake light.

THAT'S IT!!!

Apply a generous amount of glass cleaner to a microfiber cloth, and slide it back and forth by the corners, slipping it behind the light against the glass. Then do it again with a dry cloth. Those nasty, thick streaks (of whatever) are gone.

Great advice, juicybusa.

Why do you want to change it? I think it is LED which supposed to last the lifetime of the vehicle. Even with the regular bulb in my Maxima, it is still original after what, 12 years and close to 200K miles!

I see your post now, I didn't find this before I posted the same question. I finally cleaned mine, it looked bad. At least you had some decent responses, my post was mostly full of smarta** comments. Thanks for the help!!

Microfiber towel or a folded piece of newspaper sprayed with glass cleaner.
