got a call back from consumer affairs and they told me its wear and tear. looks like im not getting a new seat. i was on the phone with them for about a half an hour arguing with them and told them that their are invoices that say bubble seat and the customers got them replaced. they told me to talk to better business bureau.

I don't know if some of you guys are trying to get the entire seat replaced or not, but that's not the way to go about it. Maybe I'm misreading, especially that last post. But it's simply just a leather cover on the bottom. It has some soft foam attached to the leather, and if you try hard enough, you can get them to replace the actual seat foam underneath as well. My cover was installed a little while back and is going in to the dealer in a few days to have new cushions installed.

So Infiniti Consumer Affairs called me back today about my request to have the leather replaced on my driver's bottom cushion seat. It's a no-go. They claim it's considered normal wear-and-tear and they just won't replace it, especially since I bought mine pre-owned. It seems I'll just have to get used to mine after all...

I honestly wouldn't sweat it too much.
Maybe at some point we'll get resourceful and get a group buy on some custom bottom seat cover that is made better.
Having infiniti replace it would have just been a temp fix anyway.

Guys,
I had my driver side seat replaced as well for bubbling issue, but they only replaced the bottom seat and not the "entire" seat itself. Sure enough, after a couple months, the famous bubble returned. At this point, it's not even worth trying to replace again. Out of all the parts they replaced, the seat was the toughest one to get covered under warranty.
They said it's a mechanical problem with one the "arms" within the cushion. So for those that got it replaced like myself, has it returned for anyone? I don't wear wallets in my back pockets or anything of that nature. I also am not overweight and have a set of firm butt cheeks. Either way, the bubble has returned. Anybody have experiences with this coming back?

If you do get it replaced, keep in mind, odds are it will return. Really no point in replacing it unless it's extremely bad. Mine at the moment is tolerable.

LOL Mine did to, Said something about mine at 1500 miles..
I just got a call from Infiniti yesterday and said they got the pics from the dealer and he was like " WHOA that sticks out like a soar thumb" I hope that means good things. I'm not a heavy guy-155lbs and never have a wallet in, Back problems, So my wallet is always in the arm rest. Fingers crossed.

Perhaps the bubbling (while no doubt is largely due to design/quality) might also be a product of how aggressively the car is being driven. For instance if your daily commute has an off ramp that you take hard on a daily basis leading to your rear end sliding out to the side of the seat as the car corners pushing the seat cushion and leather.
