Is it the actual wire piece, or the part the wire clips on to? I'm guessing it's the part the wire clips on to. You'd really have to man handle the wire to damage that.

That was me in the linked post that did the same thing. I barely touched it and it snapped off. That was several months ago and no issues, but still bothers me to know its broke and possibly loose.
Raul that entire cast piece on the right will do it. If OP doesn't want it, how much?
After finishing out changing the light bulb I inspected the piece that broke and it will not come off of the projector housing (what paleryeder said), the top screw only allows you to remove the Y-spring. So yes, in fact, I will need to purchase that entire projector bowl off of you Raul. I will PM you about the details. To everyone else who helped thanks for all the advice.
