08 G37S passenger ballast can't light 6000K HID bulb
Hi guys! Got the HID 6000K xenon from Diode Dynamics. For some reason, the passenger side headlight assembly doesn't work with the 6000K bulb. It came on briefly at first and shut off. I switched the bulb to the driver side and it worked fine. I put the OEM bulb back and it also worked fine. I suspect the ballast is the problem since the dealer replaced the whole assembly a while back with the newer ballast . Anyone know how fix this issue? or have an extra old ballast that works with 6000K I can buy from? Thanks.

I did put the working bulb to the passenger side as well. Same result: it came on briefly and shut off as it happened to the other bulb. I read one thread on here that some later years ballast on the G don't like 6000K and above bulb so perhaps this could be a reason.

To Diode Dynamics: Both the bulbs still working so i don't need to return them.
Weiboy: yeah there's only one way the D2S fit in the housing and I tried many time. Some how the passenger side always is the one come up shortly and shut off with the 6000K. The OEM 4300K lights up just fine. Urrrrr!

Yeah. I know, there's only one way in and out but believe me. There are some people here who made the mistakes of not clipping in the bulb correctly or didn't click the igniter correctly too

There is a thread floating around here were MANY people have the same issue with aftermarket bulbs. I did as well and didn;t want to deal with it and went back to OEM. Don't know what it is.
BTW if you click your lights on and off real fast a few times it should get the bulb to stay on.
