Illuminated entry system
This is listed in the list of included options under interior for the 2012 model year G37.
"Illuminated entry system with delayed fade-out"
What exactly is this?
I can't find any reference in the owner's manual to this.
What I'm trying to figure out is if the G37 supports a function where when you get within a certain proximately of the car, the interior lights turn on.

Unlock the doors from they keyfob or the button on the door handle and the interior lights turn on.
Its not as "advanced" as a proximity based system.
Heck Id just be happy if they used proximity to auto lock/unlock the doors.

^^Surprisingly (this will make you cringe), the 2011+ kia optima (sonata too probably?) has this feature. The doors don't auto unlock, but interior lights do come on when you get within a few feet of the car. I see this more as a safety feature than anything else.
However, although you get some fancy tech with the kia, the core functions of an automobile is lacking - the handling and drivability of the car sucks - they still have a ways to go to getting the electric power steering programmed right and front end geometry leads to constant over/under correction when driving at highway speeds.
