Question about Lights
Hello guys, First of all, thanks for reading my post.
So I've decided to upgrade some of my lights and I need some advices on them.
My car is a 2010 model
I'm thinking of upgrading the light circled in yellow as well as my license plate lights at the back to LED because they are currently amber.(nasty) I don't know what exactly this light is called, and I was wondering if you guys could help me out identifying them. and what intensity should I get to match my OEM xenon headlights circled in blue. Also, that light circled in yellow is only on when my xenon head lights is on, is that normal because I have other cars that have similar lights on even when the headlights are not. Lastly, What would be a good website to buy these lights from and how hard would it be to install them. (I don't want to mess with any wiring, just simple switching bulbs)
Thank you very much!

Just did a quick search and came up with https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...placement.html. It looks like the light in question is the parking light (size 194). Doing a quick google search yielded Miniature Wedge Base Bulbs - Super Bright LEDs. Not saying you should order from there (never bought from them), but it's a start.
Edit: Here's info about doing the license plate lights https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...nse-plate.html

Why do they turn on only when my headlights are on? It makes no sense to me what so ever, and its ugly.
So they are called parking lights, anybody else know a good place where I can order them along with the license plate lights?

We have what you need!
It's just a 194 size bulb, very standard. I have the 194 5-5050 in my personal car, but there are a lot of 194 options on our site:
194 - Listed by Size - LED Bulbs
Let me know if you have any questions!

They turn on without the headlights. Read your maual on how to use the switch to turn just the parking lights on.
The fogs in red wont turn on without your headlights.
Dont go LED, use these, they match the factory 4300K HID headlamps perfectly. They also look better than LEDs at the license plate.
Very white light, very clean.
I switch between the extreme white, and extreme yellows!!

Hmm, mine always turn on only when my headlights are on, that's why I want to change them to LED. I will go read my manual now. haha
As to the matter of the license plate ones, I think it's a matter of opinion because I think the LED white ones are so sick, instead of the stock amber color. So I'm definitely changing that!

Yes, they turn on with the headlight, and wont turn off, they do however go on without the headlights.
I guarantee you, that the PIAA bulbs look pure white at the license plate.
I think they look better than LEDs.
I have gone down the LED road. LEDs burn out quickly.
LEDs have a tedency to fall out into the headlight assembly too easily.
LEDs look rice, PIAAs look classy. PIAA IS JDM!!
These for fogs will match the headlights perfectly too:

Just checked the manual, the one in yellow is called "clearance light", and there is nothing in there that says how to turn it on without the headlights, so do you have any idea how?
Also, do you have pics of your car so I can see how it looks with the PIAA? Thanks!

No pics.
I switch my fogs and city lights to 2500K PIAA Ion Yellow in the winter!
