Frameless Windows in Winter
It has been getting colder lately; I've see snow, rain and freezing rain in the past three weeks. I've learnt that opening my door when its cold sounds painful!
My window hesitates to roll down when I open my door. Sometimes it doesn't move at all! Is this normal? If not what should I do to fix this? I havent slammed my door shut in fear of damaging the glass/paint when the window doesn't roll down due to ice. What I do is make sure the edge is clear of ice and then roll the window down till it breaks free. Then doesn't sound good either!
Is there any way to condition/protect the weather stripping? I've heard silicone lube is good to keep it from drying out and will also prevent the weather stripping from freezing to the door. Is this true? Any other products that would work better?
