Heated Seats?

Looking for a little help here. My wife complains that her seat (passenger of course) heater only seams to work for a short time. She has to turn it off, then back on. My seat works fine, gets hot, stays hot.
The question is whether she is right, and if anything can be done to fix it? She's cold natured and I'd like to see her happy.

Thanks in advance, Jim

Take it to the dealership if you are still under warranty. Should be covered no problem. Also if I remember correctly, there is a TSB on issues with heated seats not getting warm quickly. I say call your local Infiniti dealership, so they can take a look.

Maybe I'm nuts but I do seem to remember that the heated seats work for a set length of time (15 min?) and then turn themselves off automatically. Does this sound familiar to anyone else? I think it was a feature to keep the battery from running down in the event that they were left on inadvertently. I am not really sure about this because I seldom ever need to use them in Texas but I think I remember hearing or reading that somewhere.

what year is your car? does it have the heated seat switch or the dial? i have a 2010 and it seems to stay warm. never really tried the passenger side, but havent heard anyone complain about it not staying warm. best bet is to take it to the dealer if youre still under warrantee. they could narrow down the problem much quicker than us trying to guess. hopefully they fix whatever the problem might be, doesn't seem to serious so i would imagine it wouldnt be hard to fix

I believe they won't heat up regardless of the switch if no one is sitting there, maybe that sensor is misbehaiving.

The seat heaters turn themselves either off or low after a certain amount of time.

They also work regardless of someone sitting in the seat or not.
