I've heard many complaints so I'm not going to disagree, but I'm near 6000mi driving on terrible Ohio roads and only have 1 nick in the front of my hood. other than that it's been fine in comparison with other vehicles.
Maybe I'll b**** some more after the miles start going up, hopefully not.

I think if you open the hood of the car there should be a sticker near the back (I can't remember which side) that says the car has scratch shield paint. That is one way to tell if you are not sure.

I stand corrected...I have the sticker as well. Doesn't explain the swirl on my hood that is entirely clear coat and no deeper. Maybe it will work itself out over a few months. On my '09 some dumb@ss took their thumbnail and scraped off dried cement with several attempts leaving a helluva mess on my rear bumper and within 2 - 3 weeks in hot sun it magically disappeared. It was awesome...just hope I have that same performance on my '11. Chips are chips, no special paint can fix a chip down to the metal...but that'll be a money maker for whoever comes up with it.

can I play too...here's the sticker on my OB 2011 G37S 6MT.
I had an OB 2007 G35x before this and I can tell you that this Scratch Shield paint shows nowhere near the amount of light swirl marks as my 07.
I kept my 07 nearly flawless, having polished it 3 times in 4 years. I'm thinking I might get away with doing a light polish every 2 years now.
Fwiw, I always hand-wash cars at home properly, hell I even dry it with a blower so I'm not touching the paint more than necessary. It's worth the effort.
Oh, and I got the front end fully wrapped in VS clearbra this time. The front end of my 07 wasnt too bad but bad enough that it annoyed me enough to protect it this time.

Same thing on my 2011. Haven't figured out if it has scratch shield or what I can use to safely polish, because it already has swirls and holograms after a couple dealer washes.

What color car do you guys have that have the "hard" sticker? Doubt color would matter but interesting to know if there was a change in Infiniti's direction at some point. Also you are in sedans, correct?
