dirty headlight?

So the clear plastic on my headlight is dirty from the inside. It looks very dull and unattractive. Is there a way i can clean this without having to buy a new headlight (since they are very expensive)?

are you sure it's on the inside? being that that the headlights are sealed, I don't see how they can get dirty on the inside...
