Possible to add ambient lighting if car already has lighted doorsills?
I am thinking about adding the ambient lighting if I can to my 11' sedan. The parts dept. is saying that there is something in the description about 'w/o lighted door sills' and tells me it might not work and the kit isn't returnable. I was going to have it added by the dealer on my next oil change.
^ same thing, DDA is talking about the silver (door sill) on the bottom when you open your door.
Actually not, I'm talking about the soft glow near the footwells. I have the silver door sills and the parts dept. says I can't have the door sills AND the footwell ambient lighting.
I call bull but several dealers have given me different answers (yes, no, have to try).
Just wondering if anyone here had both features installed.
Have an 09x sedan with both kits.dealer installed lighted sills,i installed ambient lights-also installed a kit under front seats to light rear footwells.spliced into front harness + added a 10k pot to adjust brightness.everything works great.
I know how much the kit is, and the install, but what was giving me pause is the parts dept. saying you can't have the door sills and the footwell ambient. Sounds like it works, just not that the parts people know I guess.
