Cool white license plate LED example

Just wanted to post an example of the license plate LEDs I installed. It seems that most people like to go brighter on this forum (6 LEDs and plus), I opted for something more subtle.

12VDC 4-LED Wedge Base Bulb (194/168 type)32 or 90 Degree Viewing Angle - I used the 90 degree bulb which is also polarized, 32 is not. Color is cool white and I got them from superbrightleds.com. I've used their bulbs for 10 years, never a problem.

Not too bright, not too dark... just perfect.

I totally agree about LED replacements being to bright. Don't need to look like a UFO lighting up the ground. My solution was to use electrical tape around the bulb covers just to the point where the light wasn't hitting the ground.

My guess it that the LEDs, in general, exhibit more spread than normal incandescent bulbs.
