There's a bulb problem. It shouldn't matter if its auto or manually, they both out put the same power to turn the light on. Is take it back and make them fix it.

10k can be blue or purple. Just like 6k can be white, blue, or purple.

10k is rice but if you are intent on running it then you'll need another set. Sounds like a problem with the bulbs and cheaper bulbs usually have this problem.

If you buy 6000k HID's and they come out purple, return them because you got the wrong lights. 6000k should be blue-ish white. You're right that according to the color temperature chart, 10000k is sky blue. 7000 to 8500 should be purple-ish color. After 10000 the color gets cooler until fully cool which is black.

True, but not always. Some 6k have different hints. My friend has 6k turquoise, other friend has 6k white. Check this out 6k that's purple tint.

6500K is Daylight and should have a very slight hint of blue .... this is in a perfect world. As we all have noticed the color temp runs the gammit on manufacturers. In general terms, in the LED/Bulb world a 5K bulb will give you very close to white, 6K perhaps a hint of blue. El-cheapo's from Wal-Mart or Pep Boys ....6k probably has quite a bit of blue.

stick with 4300K, its the brightest bulb there and you will see more in the rain rather than 10k
