If you're scared of an insurance premium increase, I'd recommend you go to a junkyard and buy a windshield off a totaled G. It would most likely cost you no more than $100-150.

If you're calling places in Ottawa, they all use same brand PPG I believe. I got mine replaced at General Auto Glass and was fully covered under Insurance with no deductible. But this was for a coupe and for an 08 there was no rain sensing wipers. It might be little bit more for that.

Apple Auto, Speedy, UniglassPlus they're all same. The one I went with was recommended by local Infiniti dealer as they use them as well.

The crack has already doubled in size! New windshield is supposed to be in Thursday and installed Friday. I have never seen a crack develop this fast or move this fast.

Glass cracks/spidering is always worse in a Vert due to the lack of roof support for lateral pressures..

Kinda like this over every bump and twist in the road

These are called smart cracks... in my coupe it went from an inch to 12 " in a day, and the crack in the vert's windshield glass should propagate faster due to lack of support unlike a coupe's.
