Exclamation Heavy Rainstorm last night. Passenger side flooded in a coupe?

Ive had trinkles of water come in occasionally before, but this morning when I got into my car, and turned my a/c on I could hear the fans sloshing around water. Then I looked over and low and behold beneath the glove box the panel that clips underneath had come off (presumably from the weight of the water). Do I have a clog somehwhere in a drain line? Someone forget to put a seal back on during a recent install? Common factory problem? HELP!

^^Could be either. I have seen both. Have you recently put in aftermarket stereo or alarm?

Washing it may not get enough water to cause the issue but most likely a drain got clogged/blocked or a seal was removed/damaged during your install.

Check the drain by the battery cover, they get clogged often. If it's not clogged, observe the drain under the battery, pull the cover off, pull out the battery and the fuse box, make sure everything down there is clean.

Also check to make sure if they ran any wires through the large grommet over the battery that they sealed it back up. They are waterproof for a reason!

Yep, the rubber grommet on the passenger side might be the cause if any aftermarket wire was installed.
