Problems with rear window tinting?
#16
It just cost me $185 for ceramic on all windows, except windshield, in Florida.
The installer said I might get stopped for having the 3rd brake light covered with tint. I figured he just wanted to have any easier time installing the film. I told him I could always cut the film away, by the brake light, if I got a ticket.
I was there while he installed all the film and he had no problem with the back window. He did the trimming by hand. He trimmed the film for all the windows on the outside of the glass, then put it on to the inside. It took less then an hour for the whole job. That was over a year ago and it still looks perfect.

mine was hand cut, single piece on each window, all the way up to the edge. Brake light wasn't cut around either.... maybe stuff is more pricey where I am . The place i go is known as the best shop where i live. They have 911's and Aston Martin's there all day long

$175 is what I paid...don't know what film type my guy used (don't really care) got it installed a couple years ago sh*t looks flawless til this day and has a lifetime warranty... and tinting over the brake light wasn't a problem I guess since he just did it without having to bring up the issue
