Headlight Painting Opinions

I have a 2010 Graphite Shadow coupe and will be getting the headlights done at 180 Custom soon. I have REALLY struggled with the color combination(s) but am "currently" planning to go with...

Matte Black housing, including fog light reflector
Graphite Shadow (gunmetal) projector
Gloss Black "inner" projector
Gloss Black side strip

Any opinions would be welcome, particularly on the side strip. Anyone with experience able to comment?

My car right now...

I'd keep the side strip matte to match the housing, if not, it'll stand out more than it should.

Agreed. Wouldn't look right if you gloss the side strip. And are you absolutely sure you won't need your fog lights?

Thanks for the insight. I talked to Alex @ 180 again today and he also felt I should go with matte black on the side strip.

As for the fog lights, I've only turned them on once or twice since I got the car 8 months ago, so I "think" I can live without them. I know from pictures I've seen of various painted headlights, they look better without the big, round, chrome circle of the fog lights unless you leave the projector chrome as well. (I gave that some consideration, but decided I wanted a "paint matched" projector for a more aggressive, custom look.)

Matte out the strip, it's gunna be too much considering you're only doing the inner shroud in gloss black. I'm loving the gloss black inner shroud idea though
