Fog light issue

Hey Guys

I installed a hid kit on my G37s and everything was working good till acouple days after.. One side just went out so i took it apart again and found out the wire harness doesnt connect well with factory plug. While i was messing with it my other side just went out and doesnt turn back on. I dont have any codes or errors .. im thinking i blew the fuse or tripped something to turn it off.. I got tired and return the Hid kits and got H8 6000k leds bulbs.. Do you think i blew the fuse and if i didnt where is it so i can replace it ...

If you turned the car off then back on or flicked the switch off then on would it come back on? the issue with using HID kits in a reflector besides it blinding people, it also requires more current to power on.. so since it is drawing more power it will sometimes cause one to turn off and then you will have to reset them to start them back up.. If you get a wiring harness which uses a relay to indicate when to turn on and the battery as a constant source of power it should fix this.

I tried everything to turn it back on it wont... turned car and switch off and tried again and it doesnt turn back on.. I havent taken that side off to look at it but its was working fine before... when i was messing with the harness and plugging it back in thats when it happened.. Im thinking the fuse and your right but HIDS.. they are nice but to much of a headache I hope the led bulbs i just ordered will do the trink. but i think i need to change the fuse for the fog lights

the same thing happened to me... nothing turned on even with the stock bulbs, the cable harness for my fogs burned.. i searched the manual and went to the dealer there isnt a fuse for the fogs so you cant changed them...like zoop425 said it requires more power.. take it to the dealer to fix the issue if its under warranty.. i had to buy a wiring harness and that fix the problem.

This happened to me when i used a faulty ballast. It blew the fuse to my foglights. It was a P.I.T.A. to fix compared to my maxima. The fuse box containing the foglight fuse is located to the left of the battery inside the battey compartment. This means you have to remove the entire battery to get to it. After I replaced the fuse and the faulty ballast all was well. Took me awhile to figure out where the fuse box was located. Had to read the factory service manual.

There is a fuse for the foglights. Its located in the fuse box to the left of the battery inside the battery compartment. Its mounted on the fender of the car. Its a long rectangular shaped black box.

You guys don't have to remove the battery to pull that box out. Just remove all the covers, and You should be able to yank it out
