I dun know why, but all the OEM painted headlights ive seen on any car are flat black. is there a reason to that

I currently have flat/matt black, but going with gloss black very soon. +1 on what Igor said, getting the professionally painted makes a world of difference in fit and finish.

Do the headlights come apart like this easily on a 08 G37S also - if so I might try painting mine as well. Can anyone comment or is this someone aftermarket?
