Does Infiniti cover their crappy paint under warrenty? *UPDATED*

I've had my '11 G37X since mid November and this has more paint chips in it than my '02 Honda Civic EX which has over 110k miles and I've owned for 9 years. I never drove this car to work in the snow and I have about 9.9k miles put on this (I do about 100 miles a day). I'm going to bring this up to the dealership next month when I go in but I am curious if they cover this. I dont feel like dropping 3k to get a good exterior paint job on a car less than a year old. Now I'm wishing I got the clear bra on my car. The civic has nighthawk black pearl paint while the g37x has obsidion black.

I heard that putting like 3-5 layers of clear coat on the car will be as good as installing a clear bra without the clearbra hassles.

Isn't it great to spend 36-$40K and then have to plunk down another $800 just so the paint stays on the car. Infiniti paint is absolute sh*t and it's shamefull on a car at this price point. It's my last Infiniti unless this pathetic paint is brought up to at least Kia/Hyundai quality by the time I'm ready to pony up for another car.

acutally i am equating this paintjob closer to Maaco. I once got one of my civics done through them, it was pretty much the same

I wonder what brand actually has decent paint? When I had Acuras everyone complained about their paint quality. Samething with my Hondas. I was on a bimmer forum and heard the samething.

I know Bimmers, Audi, MBs have a thicker clearcoat w/ much less chipping. Hyundai has a higher quality paint process w/ much less orangepeeling and from comparing three of my friends' Hyundais much less chipping as well. Ford trucks (at least 08s and 09s) are less chip prone from what I've seen.

I have not seen a Hyundai that have a better paint job then the G. Porsche has better paint job for sure, but not Huyndai or Ford. SUV and truck are less susceptible to chipping because they have huge front grill and sit much higher off the ground.

I had paint peeling/chipping off between the joints of my front bumper/fender. They called a bodyshop to come by and take pictures to send to Infiniti. Been about a week and a half and still no word. Seems like they tightened the joints too much or something.

I e-mailed the dealership telling them about this. I did this instead of calling because I would probably lose my cool and start cursing. I mean for a car that is 5 months old, I shouldn't be looking to get the entire car repainted already.
