Help! I messed up painting my tail lights...Can it be fixed?

A lot of guys don't realize that you also need a power/ random orbital polisher like a porter cable to generate the necessary heat to truly polish to a glass like finish....

While Duplicolor black is not the way to go, "back in the day" I used to paint my tail lights with cheap Kraylon gloss black spray paint and it worked just fine. The paint, with one coat, looked black but lights shined through quite easily. This only worked because of how thin the paint came out of the can.

But, I agree with blue_bat concerning the overlays......unless you trash one side upon installation like I did

don't worry... I repainted my tail lights exactly four times to get the best looking!
