Those are an option, called 'illuminated kickplates'. They light up with leds from underneath. Some cars come with them already installed and priced on the sticker. Otherwise you get shiny metal-insert door sills.

Were you able to replace the stock bulb cover or did you have to leave it off? I saw mentioned about that issue recently.

I just got the same car today.. MLW g37xS.. The fogs on the bottem I would liek to change..

-5000k H11 slim ballast HID drop in kit (set)
V-HID 35W SLIM BALLAST XENON HEADLIGHT KIT H11

Was that kit easy to install? Anything major? You changed you HID headlights low/high beams? if you didnt would the stock headlights match the H11 kit at 5000k?

Thanks

easy install for fogs, once you remove the fender liners, its all clear view of the fog light housing. very very easy.

regarding the low/high beams, i changed the bulbs to get a dead on exact color match with the fogs.

the oem low/high beam HID bulbs are a lower temp bulb, im thinking 4300k as opposed to 5000k so it emits a slightly different more yellow color.

Nice work bro, it looks amazing!

Where exactly did you mount the ballasts? Is it safe to mount HIDs in such a small fog housing? Overheating? Housing melting?

Also, how did you seal it so moisture does not get into the housing?

Regards,
Tony
