Got a roof spoiler

Fraindssss!

So I got a roof spoiler the other day. friend of mine had it sitting around for about a year now, never put it on, painted KH3 and all. Im a little weary about the double sided tape. Ive heard it doesnt hold well.

Anyone have any suggestions about this? Tape only? Silcone or something in conjunction with the double sided tape?

Also as far as the placement, should it go flush with the top of the glass or flush with the edge of the metal.

Thanks in advance!

EDIT: and while im here, im looking to upgrade my HID's to a 6000K, ive been looking around but im not entirely clear on what bulbs to look at since this is my first bi-xenon car. I dont want to loose the Hi/Low function, whats a good direct replacement people use, if there is one?

3M double side tape should be fine. Just make sure you clean the surface well first. They also make an adhesive promoter you can put on there if you are really worried about it.

Yes! i do have some adhesive promoter, i have a bit of a lead foot and can be a little crazy at times, i just want to be sure it wont go flying off... not that im saying i do illegal things

do you put the adhesive promoter on the tape itself or on the surface its being applied too?

yeah the tape they give you is no good, my bodyshop used some epoxy to fix it.

i figured you would just look up the bulb guide and replace the bulb for your hid?

cant help you with the spoiler. BUT for the HID's i have 6000k garax bulbs, i really like them. They arent too blue just a nice tint. They are pricey though, i think i paid 40-50$ for the pair. They say they last 60000 hours though haha

You had a body shop do it? I'm assuming it didn't take long. How long did you have to let it sit?? Was it kept overnight? Its not the size of the bulb I'm lookin for its will I loose hi/low function with an aftermarket bulb and what are people using that's good.

Would you possibly have a link to those so I could check them out? $50s not bad at all and 6000k's are just what I'm looking for! You still have the hi and low beam function with this aftermarket set?
