new LEDs from 180 customs - ongoing review
went to meet igor yesterday to have my iron man headlights worked on for warrantee repairs. more than half my leds on each headlight had either gone out, or were unreliable. Met him around noon and had my headlights fixed and installed in a couple hours. He replaced all the leds with new ones which he assured me were much better quality.
I started this thread for two reasons. Primarily to let everyone know that 180 customs is taking full responsibility in fixing headlight issues as warrantee work. they didnt even ask me any questions or make me feel uncomfortable. Very nice people and it was probably the smoothest warrantee repair ive ever been a part of. They finally got a new supplier for leds which they feel confident in. The reason they took some time before fixing iron man mods was because all their led supplier were giving low quality leds which would burn out.
Secondly, I thought that it would be a good idea to have one place where everyone can discuss the new led's 180 customs is putting in. I remember the old thread about it, but this thread could address just issues with the new leds (or just how long they are lasting )
ill post pics of the new leds on my car, but they look identical to the original ones. they are bright when looking directly into them! damn, i love having a full halo of leds now, the missing leds really killed the look of my car.
on a side note, 180 customs also started making their own leds for different sizes. i got 194 size leds for my door and dome light, along with my parking light in the headlights. there are 4 leds on each fixutre and it is a really nice white color. no yellow in it what so ever. pretty reasonably priced, and i got a good deal for ordering more than one set. they also have led turn signal lights for the headlights. idk how many leds are on them, way too many to see from outside the headlight. what i like about them is that now my headlights dont have an amber bulb in them to stick out. even with blacked out headlights, the amber bulb still looked out of place. the new leds are bright, and they put in load resistors so it wouldnt flash at unusually fast rates.
ill post pics soon of all these extra things/fixes. just got to wait till evening to really show everything off
